Engine light on after stage 1 remap - what to do?

Got my F30 320d remapped 2 weeks ago and now the engine light came on. Scanner shows code 2C5A - boost pressure too low. Is this related to the remap or a separate issue?

The car drives fine, no loss of power. But the light is annoying. Should I contact the tuner or check something else first?

First step: read the fault codes with ISTA or any OBD scanner. The most common codes after a remap are boost-related (overboost or underboost) or lambda sensor codes. If its a boost code, the tune might be too aggressive for your hardware. If its a lambda code, the O2 sensors might need recalibration in the map. Contact your tuner with the exact fault codes - a good tuner will adjust the map for free.

What engine and what tuner? Some cheap tuners just increase boost without adjusting the fault code thresholds, which triggers the engine light. A proper tune should never throw codes under normal driving conditions. If your tuner cant fix it, consider switching to a reputable tuner.
