F30 320i — from boring base model to M Sport lookalike

My F30 320i started life as the most basic spec possible — base suspension, 16-inch steel wheels with hubcaps, cloth interior, no M Sport package. I bought it cheap (9500 EUR, 2014 model, 120k km) and transformed it over 12 months. BEFORE: - Stock base suspension (rides like a boat) - 16-inch steel wheels - Chrome kidney grilles - Halogen headlights - Cloth seats - Basic iDrive without navigation - No parking sensors AFTER: - M Sport front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper conversion - Gloss black kidney grilles - LED headlight retrofit (full LCI LED adaptive) - 19-inch 403M style wheels in Orbit Grey - Eibach springs with 30mm drop - Dakota leather seats from an F30 335i donor - NBT EVO headunit with wireless Apple CarPlay - Front and rear parking sensors retrofit - M Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters - Window tint 20% all around - Stage 1 ECU remap (from 184hp to 220hp) Total transformation cost: approximately 5000 EUR in parts (most sourced used from eBay and BMW breakers). Did all work myself except the bumper painting and headlight coding. The car now looks and feels like a 50,000 EUR spec but cost me 14,500 EUR total. Nobody believes it started as a base model.

This is exactly what I want to do with my F30 318i. The M Sport bumper conversion makes such a huge difference — the base bumper looks so plain in comparison. Where did you source the LED headlights? The OEM adaptive LEDs are expensive even used. Also curious about the NBT EVO swap — did you need to code the VIN or was it plug and play?

14,500 EUR total for an F30 that looks like a 50k spec is impressive. The leather seat swap is a great idea — I did not know you could swap cloth for leather on the F30 without major wiring changes. Does the seat heating work too or did you need to add the heating elements separately?
