Sharing my F87 M2 CS — number 1842 of 2200 produced worldwide. This is the car I plan to keep forever.

Spec:

  • 2021 F87 M2 CS, Misano Blue Metallic
  • S55 engine, 450hp stock (keeping it stock — it is perfect)
  • 6-speed manual
  • Carbon fiber hood, roof, front splitter, rear spoiler, mirror caps (all factory)
  • Adaptive M suspension
  • M Carbon ceramic brakes (factory option)
  • Alcantara interior with carbon fiber trim
  • Harman Kardon sound system
  • 19-inch Y-spoke 763M wheels in Matte Gold

I have done zero modifications and plan to keep it that way. The M2 CS is already perfectly balanced from the factory — 450hp, 1550kg, rear-wheel drive, manual gearbox, limited slip diff. It does not need anything.

Track day times at my local circuit are within 2 seconds of an F80 M3 Competition despite having 60hp less. The shorter wheelbase and lower weight make it incredibly agile through corners.

Current mileage: 18,000 km. These cars have already appreciated 15-20% from new — the M2 CS is a future classic without question.

The M2 CS in Misano Blue is the best spec. Smart decision keeping it stock — these cars are already collector items. The manual gearbox M2 CS will be worth significantly more than the DCT version in 10 years. The carbon ceramic brakes are a nice touch too — they save 15kg of unsprung weight which makes a noticeable difference in handling response. Enjoy it and keep the mileage reasonable — sub-30k km examples will command the highest premiums.

Absolutely stunning car. I have an F80 M3 Competition and the M2 CS is the one car that makes me jealous. The shorter wheelbase gives it a go-kart feeling that the M3 cannot replicate. The Matte Gold wheels on Misano Blue is chef kiss. You are right about keeping it stock — the S55 in CS tune is already at the sweet spot. Any modification would just compromise the factory balance that BMW spent years perfecting.
