Best stage 1 tune for N55 335i?

Looking for recommendations for stage 1 chiptuning on my 2014 F30 335i N55 engine. Ive been looking at MHD, BM3, and a few custom tuners. Whats the best bang for buck? Car is daily driven so reliability is important. Also wondering about fuel - do I need to run E85 or is 98 octane enough for stage 1?

For N55 stage 1, BM3 is the way to go imo. The app is great, you can switch maps on the fly, and the data logging is excellent. MHD is also good but BM3 has better N55 support.

i went with MHD on my N55 and no regrets. cheaper than BM3 and the maps are solid. been running it for 2 years with zero issues

Whatever you do, dont cheap out on the tune. A bad map can destroy your engine. Stick with reputable tuners like BM3, MHD, or a well-known custom tuner.

98 octane is fine for stage 1 on N55. You dont need E85 unless youre going stage 2+. I run 98 on my BM3 stage 1 map and its been perfect for 20k km.
