G11 740i - air suspension compressor dying, repair options?

My 2017 G11 740i is sitting low on the rear right side overnight. By morning its noticeably sagging. The compressor runs for a while when I start the car and levels it out but clearly something is leaking. Dealer wants 3500 EUR for a new compressor + air spring. Thats insane. Are there aftermarket options? Or can the compressor be rebuilt? The car has 95k km. Love the car but these repair costs are killing me.

Before replacing the compressor, find the leak first. Its probably the air spring (bag) on that corner, not the compressor. The compressor is working overtime because its trying to compensate for the leak. Arnott makes good aftermarket air springs for about 400-600 EUR each. Much cheaper than OEM. We install them regularly with no issues. The compressor might be fine once the leak is fixed.

spray soapy water on the air springs and connections while the system is pressurized. youll see bubbles where the leak is. 90% of the time its the air spring itself, not the compressor. also check the valve block - theres a small block with solenoid valves that distributes air to each corner. they can leak internally too.

Did the soapy water test and found bubbles on the rear right air spring. Ordering an Arnott replacement now. Thanks for saving me from an unnecessary compressor replacement!
