iDrive screen upgrade - 6.5" to 8.8" NBT EVO retrofit

Upgraded my F30 from the base 6.5" iDrive screen to the 8.8" NBT EVO unit. Huge difference! What you need: - NBT EVO head unit (used, ~400 EUR) - 8.8" screen with trim (used, ~200 EUR) - Coding with E-Sys - Possibly new USB hub Total cost: about 700 EUR vs 3000+ EUR at BMW dealer. The touchscreen and updated iDrive software make the car feel 5 years newer. Best upgrade Ive done.

DOT4 is correct for F30. You can DIY it with a one-man bleeder. No coding needed afterwards. Simple job, about 30 minutes.

Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years. Its hygroscopic - it absorbs moisture over time which lowers the boiling point. This can cause brake fade under hard braking.
