Warranty concerns with stage 1 tune

My G20 330i is still under BMW warranty (1 year left). If I do a stage 1 remap, will BMW void my warranty? Can they even detect a remap if I flash back to stock before going to the dealer? Ive heard BMW can see flash counters in the ECU. Is this true? Dont want to risk losing warranty on a 50k EUR car.

some dealers dont care about tunes as long as the issue isnt related to the mod. others will void everything. its a gamble

BMW can detect flash counters on newer cars (F series and later). They can see that the ECU has been modified even if you flash back to stock. Whether they void warranty depends on the dealer.
