X3 G01 30d - towing capacity and real world experience

Using my X3 30d for towing a small trailer (1200kg). The car handles it well but I notice the DPF regens more frequently when towing. Anyone else tow with their X3? What are your experiences? The rated towing capacity is 2400kg but I wouldnt want to go that high.

BMW Connected Drive is not worth 200 EUR/year imo. Google Maps is better for navigation and traffic. The remote lock/unlock is nice but not essential.

I tow a small boat (1200kg) with my X3 30d and it handles it well. The 265hp and 620nm of torque make it feel effortless. Just make sure to get the factory tow bar option if possible - aftermarket ones can affect the rear crash structure. Also get the trailer stability assist coding done if your car doesnt have it from factory. Fuel consumption while towing is about 9-10L/100km on highway.
