Coding digital speedo on F30 with Bimmercode - tutorial

Quick tutorial for enabling the digital speedometer on F30 with Bimmercode: 1. Connect Bimmercode via OBD2 (need Vgate iCar Pro adapter) 2. Go to Instrument Cluster (KOMBI) 3. Find "DIGITAL_SPEED_DISPLAY" 4. Change from "nicht_aktiv" to "aktiv" 5. Code and restart Thats it! Takes 2 minutes. The digital speedo appears in the center of the instrument cluster between the tachometer and speedometer. Works on all F30 models with 6WA instrument cluster.

B47 all the way. The N47 timing chain issue is a deal breaker. Spend the extra money and get the B47. Your wallet will thank you later.

This was the first coding I did on my F30 and its so worth it. The digital speedo is much easier to read at a glance than the analog one. One tip: after coding, you might need to do a battery reset (disconnect for 5 minutes) for the instrument cluster to fully update. Some people report the speedo not showing until after a restart.
