Spark plug replacement on N55 - DIY guide
Changed spark plugs on my F30 335i N55 today. Heres the process:
- Remove engine cover (pull up)
- Disconnect ignition coil connectors (6 of them)
- Remove ignition coils (10mm bolt each)
- Remove spark plugs with 14mm thin wall socket and extension
- Gap new plugs to 0.65mm (NGK 97506 for N55)
- Install new plugs, torque to 22 Nm
- Reinstall coils and connectors
Took about 45 minutes. Plugs were due at 60k km. Old ones looked pretty worn.
