The S58 in the G80 M3 and G82 M4 is basically a tuned B58 with different turbos and internals. But are there any reliability concerns emerging?

Ive heard about:

  • Crank hub issues on early models
  • Oil consumption on some units
  • Turbo wastegate actuator problems

Anyone with high mileage S58 experience? My G80 M3 has 25k km and no issues so far but want to know what to watch for.

25k km on my G80 M3 with zero issues. I do oil changes every 8k km and use Liqui Moly. Engine is bulletproof so far.

S58 seems solid so far. Most issues were on very early production models. 2024+ models seem to have the kinks worked out.
